Travel Prescriptions ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit travelprescriptions.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. What data we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Contact form submissions — your name, email address, and message content when you use our contact form.
- Newsletter sign-ups — your email address if you subscribe to our travel updates.
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent on site, referral source, and browser/device type, collected via analytics tools.
- Cookies — small text files stored in your browser (see the Cookies section below).
We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or sensitive personal data.
2. How we use your data
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiries submitted via the contact form.
- Send newsletter emails to subscribers (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
- Detect and prevent technical errors or abuse.
We will never sell your personal data to third parties, nor use it for purposes unrelated to operating and improving Travel Prescriptions.
3. Cookies
We use cookies to make Travel Prescriptions work properly and to understand site usage. Cookies we set include:
- Essential cookies — required for core functionality (e.g. session management). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand visitor behaviour in aggregate form (e.g. page views, bounce rate). These are set by our analytics provider.
- Preference cookies — remember choices you make (e.g. filter selections) so you don't have to repeat them.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.
4. Third-party services
Travel Prescriptions uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Supabase — our database provider, used to store destination content and contact form submissions. Data is stored on servers in the European Union.
- Vercel — our hosting platform, which processes web requests and may log IP addresses in transit.
- Email service provider — used to send newsletter and transactional emails to subscribers. Your email address is shared with this provider solely for delivery purposes.
We do not embed advertising trackers, social media pixels, or any third-party scripts that profile you for marketing purposes.
5. Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months to allow us to follow up on enquiries. Newsletter subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymised form indefinitely.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.
